Distressing symptoms common in clients with trauma, amongst other mental health issues, potentially subside as the medicinal psychedelic effects provide relief from fear and pain, and surface a sense of openness and connection.

The nervous system protections are thought to soften during the KAP session to approach painful memories

Healing is possible through meaningful engagement with their trauma-focused psychotherapist.

Treatment also includes non-ketamine sessions: assessment, planning, psychotherapy, and integrative techniques.
